Description

An action-packed, utterly authentic story of duty, war, and the stress of command by the most popular living author of American sea fiction
David Poyer
In Tipping Point, medal of Honor Holder Captain Dan Lenson, USN, takes an experimental missile crusier into the Indian Ocean just as the first theater nuclear war sets off a titanic struggle between China and the U.S. His command of the USS Savo Island is threatened when he’s called home to testify before Congress. Shaken by the near end of his career, Lenson is determined to make do with a damaged ship—and an increasingly divided crew—as he heads to Eastern shores.

“First-class storytelling by a master of the genre.” —Kirkus Reviews (starred review)

But what begins as routine patrol turns ominous when an unknown assailant begins assaulting female crew members. Meanwhile, a war is being waged in Asia, pirates continue to threaten the shipping lanes, and a deadly tsunami is on the rise. Now it’s up to Lenson—under fire both at sea and back in Washington—to unite and heal the Savo Island, and use her unique but still not battle-ready ability to intercept ballistic missiles, to do nothing less than prevent worldwide nuclear destruction. And time is running out. . .

This edition of the book is the deluxe, tall rack mass market paperback.
